The Dana on Mission Bay is quite unique in design, and situated on a 27-mile bay front, with its bike and walk path circling Mission Bay. As you enter the premises of this hotel, it seems there may be another hotel located right at your back door, but that is what makes this hotel so unique. All rooms are non-smoking, and wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. The Dana also offers a more family-friendly side of the hotel, with a different array of features well suited for the traveling family.
They haven’t neglected the business or meeting planner either. The conference facility is beyond compare, with flexible meeting and banquet space that can accommodate groups of 10 to 400. For executive retreats, the Bayside Conference Room provides inspiring views. And the Mission Bay Ballroom with its soaring 18-foot glass windows will leave you breathless. Just under 4,000 square feet this room can be divided into three sections. It is adjoined by a 3,000-square foot lobby/foyer space on one side and opens out onto a beautiful terrace with sweeping views of a swimming pool and its very own marina on the other.
Other amenities on the property are two award-winning, outdoor heated swim pools and spas, one even complete with its own bar, known as the Tropical Bar open during the warmer months. The Dana also offers a variety of active sports, such as water, boat and bike rentals, as well as ping-pong.
The premises include two restaurants: one is for the more casual diner, known as the Blue Pearl, offering exceptional value breakfasts with great taste; the other a more hip, trendy, fine dining experience at the Firefly. The Firefly offers prix fixe, three-course meals for an exceptional price of $30. You can enjoy some luxurious items, or you may opt for more and try some exceptional signature dishes, and make your own three-course dining experience. Save room for dessert, because they offer one of the finest selections in town.
