Buca di Beppo is a modern Italian restaurant that offers fresh and flavorful dining in an eclectic, vintage setting. Dine with family, friends, co-workers, classmates or teammates while enjoying the Italian traditions of food, friendship and hospitality. In the spirit of Italian culture, Buca’s dishes are served family-style and are meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Buca Small feeds up to three and Buca Large feeds an average-sized country. Well, actually it feeds up to six.
At Buca, guests are encouraged to keep the conversation flowing as they admire the walls covered in family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio, while they listen to the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
The first Buca di Beppo opened its doors in 1993 in the basement of a Minneapolis apartment building. Buca has since grown to 86 restaurants in 25 states nationwide. There are seven locations in the San Diego and Orange County areas alone – these include San Diego/Gaslamp District, Carlsbad, Mira Mesa, Brea, Garden Grove/Anaheim, Huntington Beach and Irvine.
Recipes enjoyed for generations in villages throughout Italy inspire the menu, giving Buca di Beppo its authentic fare. Buca continues to innovate and create dishes beyond the traditional style by adding new menu items inspired by Northern and Southern Italian cuisine. Try some of Buca’s favorite fresh recipes like Chicken Carbonara using imported Italian spaghetti, homemade Lasagna, Ravioli al Pomodoro, Eggplant Parmigiana, Penne Basilica, Bruschetta, Fried Calamari and sinful Tiramisu with homemade ladyfingers. Buca also features specialties such as Mozzarella Caprese, Salmon with Pesto, Quattro al Forno, Penne Arrabbiata, Chicken Marsala, Chicken with Lemon and Spaghetti with their famous half-pound Meatballs.
