A Star is Reborn
|
Since its opening day in 1966, Anthony's Star of the Sea reigned as the ultimate choice for fine dining in San Diego. From its unique perch over the San Diego Bay, the Star was home to presidents and prom dates alike. For generations, if San Diegans had something to celebrate, it was done at the Star of the Sea. After 40 years, the Star has been reborn as San Diego's premier waterfront event center. An extensive program of renovations have resulted in an event space that is as elegant as it is functional. It's a perfect spot for all of your smaller parties, social events, wedding, business meetings and corporate functions.
In addition to the main banquet area, with floor-to-ceiling views of the San Diego Bay, a more intimate lounge area and outdoor overwater deck are available. Anthony's Seafood Group has partnered with a group of San Diego's top catering companies to provide cuisine options in a wide variety of styles and price points. A full bar and wine service is available. A dedicated event staff is available to ensure that your party comes off perfectly.
Room Capacity
The Star of the Sea is located on Harbor Drive, next to the Star of India tall ship, just five minutes from the Convention Center. It can accommodate 150 people for a theater-style setting or 78 for a classroom. For banquets, the Star of the Sea can hold 120 people with eight to a table, or 96 people with main head table.
Catering
Catering will be provided by a selected list of San Diego's top of the line caterers, including The French Gourmet, Urban Kitchen, Festivities,
Continental Catering, Culinary Concepts, TK&A Custom Catering, Crown Point Catering and Simcha Kosher Catering. Each selected caterer offers a large number of different choices and is eager to work with you to develop the right menu for your event.
Bar Service
Complete bar and wine service is available through Anthony's. The elegant Star Bar is a wonderful backdrop for your pre-event cocktail receptions.
Amenities
Of course, the biggest amenity is the unmatched view of the San Diego Bay, the Star of India and other wonderful San Diego waterfront sights.
